Andrew W. Buchanan, President

Andrew Buchanan is President of Kettler Inc., overseeing all aspects of the company including operations, finance and strategic planning.

He joined Kettler in 2001 and has worked to maintain the company’s position as a leading innovator in the real estate development and management industry. Under Mr. Buchanan’s steady leadership, the company has grown more diverse, expanding its services as well as its geographic base.

Mr. Buchanan’s path to Kettler began in Columbia, Maryland where he grew up watching a city get built from scratch. This early life experience instilled an appreciation of great urban planning, community integration and flexibility that shapes his leadership at Kettler today.

A graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and joined Kettler from Carl M. Freeman Associates. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the National Multi Housing Council and has served on the boards of many charitable organizations. Mr. Buchanan lives in McLean, Va., with his wife and two sons.
