Cynthia Clare, CPM, is President of Kettler Management overseeing the operations of over 19,000 apartment homes, in 85 communities, as well as over 1.7 million sq.ft. of office and retail space. Ms. Clare has been instrumental in growing Kettler’s third-party management portfolio over the last two years adding nearly 10,000 apartment homes, and expanding Kettler’s services into New Jersey, North Carolina, Richmond, and Tidewater markets. Ms. Clare is involved in the development of the additional units Kettler expects to bring on line over the next several. Clare has 25 years of property management experience.

Prior to joining Kettler, Ms. Clare worked at The Mark Winkler Company, a real estate development and Management Company based in Alexandria, VA. During her tenure at Winkler, Clare was responsible for all operations related to residential management and oversaw more than 6,000 units. Clare was involved in the development, lease-up, and stabilization of new residential property and for bringing third party residential management to Winkler. Under her guidance, many innovative processes were put in place to improve customer service and attract and retain skilled professionals.

Ms. Clare earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. She also earned the Certified Property Manager designation from The Institute of Real Estate Management and the Real Property Administrator designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association. Ms. Clare is a past president of IREM’s Northern Virginia Chapter and a past Regional Vice President. Ms. Clare serves on the National Faculty for The Institute of Real Estate Management, the Virginia Tech RPM Advisory Board, and the National Apartment Association Board of Directors. In 2006 Ms. Clare served as President of the Apartment and Office Building Association.
