Edward Byrne, Senior Vice President of Planning and Community Development
Edward S. Byrne is KETTLER's Senior Vice President of Community Planning and Development. He is responsible for the overall development of KETTLER’s master planned communities, including pre-acquisition feasibility, land planning, entitlements, community design, marketing and sales. Active projects include over 10,000 units under feasibility study, entitlement, design and/or development. The current planned communities include single-family detached, attached, low, mid and hi-rise multifamily, active adult housing, extensive recreational amenities, retail, hotel and office uses. Mr. Byrne has held progressively more responsible positions during his ten years at KETTLER and has specialized in master planning the KETTLER communities and in working with elected and appointed officials, as well as community groups, to develop broad support for KETTLER’s development initiatives in the Washington metropolitan area.
Prior to joining Kettler, Mr. Byrne managed the site planning, zoning and preliminary engineering of residential and nonresidential land development initiatives for clients with projects located in Loudoun County, Virginia, as a Senior Project Manager and Associate at Dewberry, the largest engineering and planning firm headquartered in Virginia. Mr. Byrne served as Vice President of Planning and Development at The Evans Company, a northern Virginia-based real estate development company that specializes in office construction, and office and industrial land development. Mr. Byrn has also served as a Land Use Planner with Fairfax County, Virginia.
Mr. Byrne earned a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Urban Affairs from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He also served as President of the Committee for Dulles. He is married and the father of four children.
