John Chappelear is the Senior Vice President of Condominium Operations at KETTLER Mr. Chappelear leads KETTLER's strategic growth in the urban, luxury condominium sector in the greater Washington-Baltimore market. Mr. Chappelear supervises more than 1,000 condominium units under development, as well as an additional 2,500 units in the pipeline.

By the age of 30, Mr. Chappelear was the Executive Vice President of Housing Investment Corp, a multibillion-dollar subsidiary of Chase Manhattan Bank. He also served as Vice President of the Bank and a member of the Chase Real Estate Finance Committee. In the early 1980s Mr. Chappelear moved from banking into real estate development.

Mr. Chappelear has been active in development for the last 20 years as a Partner for Eastland Development, a Director for Atlantic Gulf Communities and Senior Vice President of Minto Communities. Mr. Chappelear came to KETTLERfrom The Related Group of Florida. At The Related Group, he was Senior Vice President for Condominium Development for the company’s Florida division and managed development of numerous projects. When Mr. Chappelear left The Related Group, there were over 4,000 condominium units under development and in the pipeline.

Mr. Chappelear earned a bachelors degree from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. He has completed graduate studies at American University in Washington, DC.
