KSI Management Provides Housing Safety Net for Victims of Hurricane Katrina
12 Fully Operational Furnished Apartments Donated for 6 Months Residents Can Interview for Jobs at KSI

KSI Management, a division of KSI Services, Inc., announced that beginning today, it has made available 12 apartments in the greater Washington area for families displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
“When we build our projects, we build full-service communities,” stated Robert C. Kettler, founder and Chairman of KSI Services, Inc. “We realize that this is what is important for those who have lost everything”.
KSI will donate apartments for 6 months of residential use. Each apartment will be pet-friendly. Some residents may extend their stays for up to 9 months if they have children enrolled in local schools. KSI will pay for electricity, gas and water in all 12 apartments. As a further step in helping residents to rebuild their lives, KSI will also conduct job interviews for individuals who may qualify for positions with the company.
Tailoring its donations to each family’s individual needs, Brook Furniture Rental has committed to provide furniture and housewares for the 12 residences, including linens, dishes and cookware. Flexcar, a partner with KSI, will donate transportation for the residents—up to 25 hours of usage of a car for each month that the residents are in the apartments. T. Furr and Associates, located in Hanover, MD, will stock food for the initial arrival of the residents. American Express, which provides many amenities for residents of KSI properties, will provide Gift Cheques to help with purchasing additional necessities.
KSI will designate two apartments in each of the following Virginia locations: Loudoun County, the City of Alexandria, Prince William County, Arlington County, and Fairfax County, as well as in Montgomery County, MD. Each of the local housing authorities in these jurisdictions will assist in placing families.
