October 26, 2005
KSI Services, Inc, a leading developer of mixed-use residential and commercial properties in the Washington metropolitan area, announced today that it won two prestigious Monument Awards and an Award of Merit.
The awards were presented by the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Maryland-National Capital Building Association at their 2005 Monument Awards Gala held on October 20. These awards honor the homes and communities that represent the finest that the industry has to offer.
KSI received a Monument Award for the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium at its West Village of Shirlington community in the category of new condominium, co-ops or conversions, four stories or less for under $375,000.
KSI also received a second Monument Award for the Fairmont Apartments, which it owns and manages, in Washington, D.C. in the Special Achievement in Affordable Housing category.
KSI capped off the ceremony capturing the Award of Merit for its high-rise rental homes at The Metropolitan at Pentagon Row, which offers luxury rentals and executive short-term housing.
“We are honored to receive such significant awards,” said Richard Hausler, President of KSI Services. “They demonstrate our employees’ dedication to excellence. What makes the awards so special is that they run the full spectrum of KSI’s multifamily housing products including affordable housing, upscale rentals and unique condominiums.”
The Monument Awards honor homebuilding companies in metropolitan Washington whose homes have been judged the “best of the best” for design, excellence and value by a panel of their peers.
Builders from across Virginia and Maryland entered more than 4,000 projects in 67 categories, which included single-family homes, town homes and condominiums, site and land planning, high-tech innovation and high-end custom homes.
