Thousands of Prince George’s Residents to Preview Midtown Largo Station at FedEx Field Event

Oct. 27 event has drawn interest from nearly 5,000

October 26, 2005

KSI Services, Inc., one of greater Washington’s largest mixed-use residential and commercial developers, is expecting a record crowd at its preview of Midtown Largo Station condominiums on October 27 at FedEx Field. Invitations were sent to a list of more than 5,000 prospective buyers, who expressed interest in purchasing a condominium. The preview sales party will be held from 5-9 p.m.

“We attribute this record response to the unique brand of living that Midtown Largo Station will bring to the county,” said John Chappelear, Senior Vice President of Condo Operations for KSI. “The interest has been overwhelming. FedEx Field was the only venue large enough to host us. We have been inundated with calls, e-mails and requests for information through our website.”

Midtown Largo Station will offer a cutting-edge product not seen before in Prince George’s County. The four-story building with 242 units will offer controlled-access, covered parking on the same level as one’s condominium. Amenities include a pool and garden area, an indoor sports court, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a private theatre screening room. An on-site conference room will be available to the community as well as residents.

A recent Baltimore Sun article reported that less than 20 percent of what is being built in the current ‘white-hot housing market’ in Maryland is priced under $300,000. With prices starting in the low $200,000s, many units at Midtown Largo Station will be in that range. Homes will have standard finishes including granite countertops, hardwood cabinetry, ceramic tile and stainless steel appliances.

“It is unprecedented to offer such a high-end product in the Washington, DC, market at such prices,” said Michael Eastwood, Director of Multi-Family Development and Project Executive. ”We look forward to delivering it to this enthusiastic audience.”
