KSI Contributes to Red Cross Efforts After Devastating Storms

Evacuated Residents in Huntington, VA Seek Refuge Through Community Efforts

June 30, 2006

Midtown Alexandria Station, a development of KSI Services, Inc., has contributed to the disaster relief efforts in the Huntington area of Fairfax County, Virginia by donating $5,000 to the Red Cross, aiding those residents displaced by rising waters from recent storms.

"It's the least we can do for our neighbors whose homes were damaged by the floods," said Pamela Tyrell, vice president of KSI's multifamily development.

The most serious flooding occurred in the Arlington Terrace community in Huntington, just south of the City of Alexandria, where residents were forced to evacuate after Cameron Run flowed over its banks and into their basements.

Fairfax County and the American Red Cross set up a temporary shelter at nearby Edison High School in Franconia. Fire officials have estimated nearly 170 homes had been damaged in recent days.
