KSI Services, Inc. to be Renamed Kettler

Name change sets stage for strategic business growth

November 1, 2006

KSI Services Inc. announced today that it is changing its corporate name and brand by adopting the last name of its founder and chairman, Robert C. Kettler, a third-generation Washington-area developer who founded the company 30 years ago.

The Vienna-based real estate development company, which is ranked among the 20 largest multifamily developers in the country, will be called Kettler, a name synonymous with real estate development not only throughout the Washington metropolitan area, but the mid-Atlantic.

“While others are trying to adjust to the market, we are going to take the opportunity to move ahead by evolving our marketing identity and our brand,” said Robert C. Kettler, founder and chairman of Kettler. “We are purposefully setting the stage to increase business flexibility and prosperity with this name change.”

The company, which has been considering the name change for some time, announced the change at a ceremony today for the Washington Capital's new training facility and ice arena adjacent to the Ballston Common Mall in Arlington. Kettler purchased the naming rights to the state-of-the-art training facility and ice arena called the Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

The private real estate company, founded by Robert C. Kettler in 1977, has grown from a one- man operation to over 450 employees. As one of Metropolitan Washington’s leading residential and commercial developer, Kettler is poised for continued growth. Kettler has made recent strategic business decisions that set them apart in the industry. They have a widely diverse portfolio of homes already under construction. In addition, they are committed to delivering 20,000 new homes to the region in the next ten years. Their recent announcement of their new entity, KMB Realty, is a first of its kind in the Washington Metro area. Having that real estate marketing skill readily available completes the cycle from land purchase to delivery of the home under one roof.

“This region is a landscape of ‘alphabet’ companies, so the name Kettler gives us a distinctive identity,” adds Jamie Gorski, chief marketing officer of Kettler. “We are in the business of creating exceptional places where people live and connect with one another and the Kettler name reflects that. Kettler is already a strong brand.

The full change to the Kettler brand will unfold in the next few months.
