Poised for Growth, Kettler Promotes Top Executives

Kettler, formerly KSI Services, Inc., has announced the strategic promotions of four top executives.  

Kettler named Andrew Buchanan Executive Vice President of Operations; John Chappelear Senior Vice President of Condo Operations and Homeowner Services; Edward Byrne Senior Vice President of Community Planning and Development and Joseph Amatangelo Chief Financial Officer.  The promotions come as part of a strategic name and brand transition recently announced by the Vienna-based real estate development company, ranked among the 20 largest multifamily developers in the country.

"I am confident that these gentleman will continue to take Kettler to the next level of excellence," said Robert C. Kettler, founder and chairman of Kettler.  "Along with our name change, we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2007.  These promotions are purposefully setting the stage to increase business flexibility and to move the company forward as we head into our future."

As Executive Vice President of Operations, Buchanan will be responsible for all of the operations and day-to-day management of Kettler.  He brings extensive real estate financial, tax and analytical expertise to his position.  Buchanan is a graduate of the American University and resides in McLean, VA.

In his new role, Chappelear will manage all of Kettler’s multi-family operations.  He has been active in development for over 20 years and oversees more than 1,000 condominium units currently under development and an additional 2,500 units in the pipeline for Kettler.  He earned a bachelors degree from Randolph-Macon College and completed graduate studies at the American University. Chappelear resides in Great Falls, VA.

Byrne will now manage the entitlement, programming, design and development of residential communities for Kettler. Byrne has been actively involved in the Dulles Dulles Area Transportation Assiciation and has previously supervised major Kettler projects, including a 70-acre mixed-use project in Centreville, VA. Byrne received both his bachelors and masters degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute And State University and resides in Dulles, VA.

Amatangelo will oversee both Kettler, as well as Kettler's management company as Chief Financial Officer.  He will be responsible for managing the company's finance, accounting, information technology and human resource initiatives.  Amatangelo has over 20 years of hands-on experience in accounting and management functions and over 16 years experience in real estate/property management.  A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Amatangelo resides in Annandale, VA.
