Strategic Alliance Between KSI Services and McWilliams|Ballard Creates New Realty Company

KMB Realty, the first of its kind in Washington, D.C., will sell KSI homes

KSI Services, Inc. and McWilliams|Ballard announced today a strategic partnership and the creation of KMB Realty.  The newly formed realty company will be responsible for marketing and selling condominium residences and planned communities developed by KSI Services, Inc.

The first strategic alliance of its kind in the D.C. Metropolitan area and one of the first in the country, KMB Realty's principals include Robert C. Kettler, founder and chairman of KSI Services, Inc., and Ross McWilliams and Chris Ballard, owners of McWilliams|Ballard.

 “KSI is known for their high-end quality and giving customers an extraordinary home buying experience.  KMB Realty will allow us to improve our sales and marketing efforts,” stated Robert C. Kettler.  “McWilliams|Ballard is a leader in the condominium realty market.  The partnership brings together two firms that are experts in their fields and places both in a stronger position for future growth."

 With KSI’s existing pipeline of 20,000 homes, KMB Realty's creation will allow KSI to do everything under one roof, from purchasing land to overseeing customers as they move into their new homes.

“McWilliams|Ballard will continue to grow our business and serve our clients in nine states and the District of Columbia, as we have since our inception,” said Chris Ballard of McWilliams|Ballard.  “However, the opportunity to bring our marketing and sales expertise to KSI, with an existing pipeline of 20,000 new homes, was not to be missed.”

In 2005, McWilliams|Ballard had over 5,200 in multifamily sales totaling over two billion dollars.   As a result of KSI and McWilliams|Ballard's relationship over the past several years, Delta Associates, an Alexandria, VA based real estate research company, recently recognized KSI as having the highest velocity sales pace in the D.C. condo market. Through the partnership designed to market the KSI portfolio, KMB Realty will continue to lead the industry in the sales and marketing arenas.
