July 19, 2007

Kettler, one of the nation’s top multifamily developers and a Washington, D.C. area leader in diversified real estate development and property management, announced today that Karen Kossow has been promoted to vice president of marketing for Kettler Management. The promotion follows Kossow’s feature as one of MultiFamily Executive Magazine’s “People to Watch” in 2007.

MultiFamily Executive Magazine’s annual “People to Watch” section features five executives under the age of 40 nationally who are making a difference within their company and the multifamily real estate industry as a whole.

“Karen’s innovative ideas have helped to better serve our customers,” said Jamie Gorski, Kettler’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We are thrilled she is being recognized for her outstanding work.”

As vice president of marketing for Kettler Management, Kossow will be responsible for strategic planning, marketing and brand partnership development for Kettler’s apartment communities.

Kossow oversees the marketing of 9,000 units in Kettler’s 38 apartment communities, 28 of which are affordable housing, in addition to 5,000 units in development. She has also been instrumental in delivering a 96% occupancy rate through unique marketing strategies and managing brand partnerships with prominent companies like VIPdesk, Tiffany & Co., Apple, West Elm, American Express and Restoration Hardware. Kossow has also assisted in implementing unique leasing incentives. Residents have been offered VIPdesk concierge services, Apple MacBook computers, Tiffany & Co. gifts, American Express points for rent payments, FlexCar memberships, and discounts on furniture to name a few.

“Karen’s very instrumental in making sure we come up with the greatest relationships possible,” adds Gorski. “We are fortunate to have Karen as vice president of marketing for Kettler Management. The industry can look forward to bigger and better ideas to come from Kettler.”
