Cindy Clare

As President of Kettler Management, Cindy Clare, CPM, oversees the operations of more than 30,000 apartment homes in more than 125 apartment communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Texas. Through her leadership, Kettler Management has expanded its geographic reach from a DC Metropolitan-centered firm to one that extends from Connecticut to South Carolina, and now Texas. She is proactive in all aspects of the industry, and committed to the realization of owner’s goals.

Cindy earned her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Virginia. Before joining Kettler Management, Cindy worked at The Mark Winkler Company, a real estate development and Management Company based in Alexandria, VA. During her tenure at Winkler, Cindy was responsible for all operations related to residential management and oversaw more than 6,000 units. She was involved in the development, lease-up, and stabilization of new property and for bringing third party management to Winkler. Under her guidance, many innovative processes were put in place to improve customer service and attract and retain skilled professionals.

Cindy is extremely active in the property management industry; she travels the world speaking to and training property management professionals, making her a well-recognized, national leader and valuable resource in the industry. Cindy is a past President of both the AOBA and IREM’s NoVA Chapter, as well as a past Regional VP for IREM Region III. Currently Cindy serves on the National Faculty and as a Faculty Trainer for IREM, the Virginia Tech RPM Advisory Board, and the National Apartment Association Executive Committee. Cindy was one of Washington Business Journal’s 2011 Women Who Mean Business, and was honored in 2013 with the AOBA Sidney Glassman award for her exemplary work and contributions in education, training, management, administration, and legislation. In 2015, Cindy was named one of the 10 most influential women in Real Estate by Multi-Family Executive. Cindy was also recently installed as Chairman of the National Apartment Association. With 30 years of property management experience, Cindy is the archetype for success in leading a real estate management firm.
