KETTLER Names Tim Johnson Chief Investment Officer

KETTLER today announced that Tim Johnson has joined the firm as chief investment officer, a strategic addition to the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its development, investment and property management platform across high-growth markets.
Johnson brings more than 25 years of experience across real estate investment, development and finance. He most recently served as managing partner at Avid Ventures, where he provided strategic leadership and led real estate investment and development across key Florida markets.

“Tim’s experience across some of the most dynamic growth markets in the country, particularly in Florida and the Southeast, aligns directly with where we are headed as a company,” said Cindy Fisher, president of KETTLER. “He brings a thoughtful, disciplined approach to investing and a deep understanding of how to scale strategically. As we continue to expand our footprint, Tim will play a key role in identifying opportunities, strengthening partnerships and ensuring we are well positioned for long-term success.” Previously, Johnson served as chief financial officer at Strategic Property Partners in Tampa, where he helped guide the financial strategy of a $3 billion mixed-use development platform and contributed to the vision and execution of Water Street Tampa. His background also includes senior leadership roles with Kitson & Partners and Colonial Properties Trust, where he played instrumental roles in finance, capital markets, acquisitions and large-scale development initiatives.
He also served as vice president for the Southeast at Milhaus Development, focusing on market-rate multifamily opportunities and leading new business development, site selection and deal structuring across the region.

This breadth of experience provides a strong foundation for KETTLER’s continued expansion strategy. “KETTLER has a proven track record of disciplined growth and a clear vision for the future,” Johnson said. “As a family-owned company, that long-term perspective is embedded in how it invests and operates. I look forward to working with our team and partners to execute on that strategy and continue building a strong, resilient portfolio.”
Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. He is active in several industry organizations, including the UF Bergstrom Real Estate Center Advisory Board, Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers.
